Met up with Kate and Mark to do a run from Groton after work. Started on the rail trail before going off to some roads with the hopes of trails. Well, we kinda found trails. The entrance Mark thought existed ended up being fenced off on some farm. We kept running and found the Groton school. Mark knew some about it, I guess it's a boarding school. Very fancy looking, probably cost as much as RPI. Super nice athletic fields, imposing historic looking buildings, and quite a large campus. At the other end of campus we found some trails Mark and Kate had ran before. And we saw an owl! Super cool. Got back on the roads and to the rail trail for a sorta long but not too bad 7.6 miles.
