I was originally gonna do a long run today, but after thinking it through on yesterday's run I decided to alter the plan a bit. I already did my M pace run Tuesday instead of Monday, and doing long run today would mean I'd be cramming 10, 9, and 12 mile runs into a 4-day period instead of the usual 6 days. On top of that, I am going to be driving 9 hours tomorrow which won't exactly be the best for recovery. Nor will being on vacation, and therefore out of routine. So I decided to start my recovery "week" a bit early. Today is the start. Take it easy through Tuesday for the vacation period. And maybe do a 13 mile long run by the time I get to next weekend. But the important thing is I focus on recovery and don't overdue it in light of the increased stressors I am exposing myself to.
