Notes
My 1st leg of the RAGNAR, ran in the gliderides which made me a bit nervous because of the achilles tightness in the past. RAGNAR labeled this as the hardest leg (10.3 w/ 850 elevation is what they said) and it was a bitch. Tried to get out comfortably steady and had a little bit more rolls and hills plus into a headwind the first 3 miles (5:45, 5:45, 6:15). Achilles on both legs locked up pretty bad, was already cramping hard on both legs by 2 miles similar to Quarryman so miles 3-5 uphill were super rough and paced slowed down significantly since I couldn't push off the toes. Was able to keep miles 4 and 5 steady around 6:30 with the climb and eventually feet went numb around 5 and the achilles tightness went away so was able to roll once I got to mile 6 and hit the downhill. Rolled 510/455/510 for 3 miles downhill and kept it strong to the finish (5:45 10th mile and 5:30 pace for the last .3). Super scenic run as you basically looped around a lake while you climbed a mountain pass, killed 13 people on the run and averaged 549 pace overall so really solid workout! Legs super cashed and beat up, especially quads from the super long downhill.
