After averaging 8:10, 8:06, and 8:03/mile in my most recent 160 AHR workouts, I knew that it was a matter of time before I'd get it down to a sub 8 pace. Today became that day. What I didn't expect was that I'd average a 7:33 pace today at AHR 155 (~78% of HR Max, 71% of HR Reserve). However, I knew that it would be a good run when my warm-up mile was an 8:26. Running last 50 minutes at just under 7:20 pace and a 156 AHR was an unexpected treat.
