Mile 1: Started quick down the hill and stayed under control up the hill. Pace was faster than planned and felt I could dial it back if needed in the next 2 miles. [6:59 - 175 - 88%HRR]

Mile 2: Kept moving up Campbell and breathing was under control. Suprised I didn't lose more time and was now trying to hold this pace knowing most of the last mile is downhill. [7:01 - 180 - 91%HRR]

Mile 3: A few very small rollers and some turns that slow you down a tad. Race is thinned out and running next to an older guy wearing Newtons. I am glad he is breathing that hard and not me - still mostly 3-2. [6:56 - 180 - 91%HRR]

Mile 4: A sharp downhill by the golf course and then quickly back up. This mile has to be a tad short. Mr. Newtons, who I thought was done, passes me on the downhill and stays in front on the uphill. [6:49 - 179 - 90%HRR]

Mile 5: Bye Bye Mr. Newtons. This mile is a tad long. Working the downhill and trying to save something for the 800m uphill to the finish. Another guy who seems to be in my AG is right with me and a middleschool XC runner. Hit the hill and legs feel alive so I go. Pump my arms starting at 200m and get passed.
