Notes

Tower Hill workout. The workout is uptempo with a 40 meter stride plus attacking a double step hill. To the eye it looks easy, once you run it, you find out it's hard! Distance is a guess because I didn't count my loops. It was hot today, hotter then it has been. My legs felt pretty good on the warm up after getting my hip adjusted earlier in the day. I started with Grinch, Bret, McKee, and Auckerman. Our pack broke apart about 7:00 in. I started fading around the 12:00 mark and was passing and being passed by people the rest of the time. It was ok for me. I would have liked to have been farther up, but I have never done a hill workout like this with surges. I believe the surges were the part that got to me. Schaap ran really well. I can't wait for the race on Friday. These two workouts so far have not been any indication of my shape. I'm going to get back to a good sleep pattern and make sure I prepare myself for the time trial and the season this next 3 days. I think the heat may have affected me too because I finished and had some chills.
