Notes

Progression up tempo on the track. Very similar weather to Tuesday. A slight headwind. This was a solid workout, but I progressed too fast and went faster then up tempo at the end. Miles were 6:38 6:29 6:19 6:12 6:02 5:54 5:46 5:31. My end goal was 5:50 for the last mile and I destroyed that. 5:46 and 5:31 are closer to m-pace and tempo then up tempo, so went a little quicker then I needed too. I felt fine and I progressed every mile, so I accomplished the point of the workout. On a side note, I can tell the difference from running on trails and concrete. In Naperville, I have been running about 2/3 of my miles on trails, but up here I have never found a good trail system. So far I have only run about 10 miles on softer surfaces and most of that has been grass next to the sidewalk. I can feel it in my legs as they were sore today. I know this my peak week for mileage, but I may need to back off a little tomorrow to unsure my legs are all good. Just have to see how they feel tomorrow. I got compression on them right now.
