5k at Gregory last chance. Last Calvin race ever. 20mph winds and 80 degrees so not ideal conditions. Only goal was to go out and compete. Came through the first mile in 4:48, but felt pretty tired from last week. Once I lost the pack, the wind destroyed me. My foot started bugging me and I debated stepping off the track at 3k but decided to finish it. Not a great last race, but last week was my defining race. Sad to see my Calvin career end. It's been a heck of a journey! Looking forward to the next chapter of my running career after I let my plantar fascia heel. Will probably run 4-6 tomorrow and then take some time off to get healthy before I prepare for Chicago. It's been a up and down collegiate career, but I feel I ended on a good note with a 5k PR, scoring at conference and making the 10k stud list. Probably the best 3 weeks of racing I had in my entire career. Probably couldn't have asked for a better ending!
