Notes

Don't know if I ran 2:03 or 2:04, I'll check results later. Came back to do the 800 as a workout. I was seeded in the 2nd slowest heat, so my only goal was to win the heat. I was pretty beat after the 1500, so I planned to go out slow and close hard. I visualized how I wanted the race to go and it went exactly to plan. Got out in 3rd and we came through in 63 which felt butt slow. Used the guys to block the wind from 400-500 and I knew some guy was going to make a move with 300 to go so I made sure not to get boxed in. Sure enough a dude came by with 300 to go and I latched on. Could tell he was going all-out and I still had some gears left. With 150 to go I knew I was going to win and with 100 to go I blew his doors off to win the heat. While the time is nothing special I negative split it going 63-61 (or 63-60), doing so after a 1500 only an hour before and I ran a tactically perfect race. It was a solid speed workout for the day and I'm happy with where I'm at right now 3 weeks before conference!

P.S: The results came out with no men's 800 for some reason. The world will never know what any man ran for the 800 at this meet...

P.S.P.S: They finally put 800 results in. 2:04 (63-61)
