Workout on the track this morning. 2 mile tempo, 800 jog, then 2x1200 at 10k, 2x800 at 5k, 3x400 at 3k w/400 jog in between everything. When I wrote this workout almost 2 months ago, I knew this would be one of the hardest ones. It basically hit all aerobic systems. The tempo was a good warm up actually. I felt way better after it. The first 1200 I got too fixated on the watch, so I ran the rest of the workout by feel (with my watch still running). I ended up running the paces I was planning on originally. It was tough but I felt strong throughout and got it done. A little humid but no wind which was nice. Overall a tough but very solid effort. Now focus turns towards the half marathon on Sunday.
