Notes

5k time trial on the track this morning. Near perfect conditions. A little cool but the sun was out and there was hardly any wind. Jamo elected to pace me for as long as he could. Goal was to hit 74-75 and then try to close. Jamo was spot on and made it to 4200 which was awesome! All I had to do was finish it off. Mark had 15:23.09 on his watch and I had 15:23.00 on my watch. My PR from college is 15:23.81 FAT at Hillsdale so for all accounts and purposes I PR'd today. Just a little PR, somewhere between .7-.5 of a second but the fact I ran a 5K PR 3.5 years after graduating is just incredible. So happy with this! Didn't honestly think I would ever touch my college PR again. I'm in great shape right now and I can't wait for this half marathon time trial in 2-3 weeks. I think I can actually break 71:00 solo.

Splits: 73.1-76.9-75.4-74.2-74.0-74.8-74.4-74.0-74.0-73.5-73.9-71.8-33.0 (last 200). Mile splits were 4:59-4:57-4:53. I think this is only the 2nd time in the my running career where I ran a 3 mile/5k where every mile was faster than the previous. Don't know exact last lap split, somewhere around 68-69 again.

Dang Robbie! Go off my man. That's stellar stuff. Also not surprised that you have almost never negative split a race before lol you and Michelle share that quality.

Thanks! What I meant is that I've rarely ever ran a 3 miles/5k where every mile was faster than the previous. There have been some 3 miles/5k where I've run the 2nd half faster than the 1st half but the 2nd mile was slower than the 1st.
