Notes

6 mile half marathon pace effort. Like I said yesterday I switched the tempo effort to today because it's less intense and my body still needs a bit of recovery from the race. Really hot and humid at the start. Around 85, felt like 92. I mapped out a 1.2 mile loop beforehand that has a few gradual ups and downs that you really only feel as you get more tired. With the conditions, I just wanted to be more half-marathon effort, but my first mile was right in the goal pace range. I kept it pretty consistent from there with every mile except for one in the 5:30s. I was starting to lose mental focus around mile 4 but at 4.5 it started downpouring. The rain felt phenomenal and revitalized me to finish the run off strong. Only the last loop felt kind of tough, everything else felt smooth. Good workout
