Lone Gull 10k

Idk man feel like i keep having decent WOs/good race last weekend and feeling confident and then being humbled the next ... have been having this weird thing now where i just run either 6-6:05 pace or 6:30 pace with little between .. happened at 10 miler (which 6:30 was 6:50 on the hill-er miles) and at the GBTC 5k and it seemed like today... my watch was off the mile markers but looked at the clock at miles / had someone yell out the time for just about all of em ... was 5:50 thru the first which i was happy with bc it was a lil conservative for the goal pace of like 5:55-6 flat and i believe had tailwind... dont remember the 2 mile split but was like 17:57 thru 3 mile (which had the lil hill in it) and was like ok i can hold 6 flat pace ... went thru 4M @ 24:04 so was a little slow and then went thru 5M at 30:30 i believe someone yelled to me, think i just could not battle the wind that mile, somehow wasn't able to tuck in at all ... told myself to pick it up the last mile and felt like i was but watch split did not show that (6:16 pace that mile ...) looked at clock and saw I was way passed 37 min and just got disheartened...picked it up a lil as emma blew by me to get under 38 min,

Annoyed that in March this was my HM pace ... went thru the 10k in New Bedford 36:56 so a minute faster on a much hiller course ... I know im in better shape now than i was at this time last year but I just feel like it shouldnt take me a year to get back in shape, seeing ppl on the team PR and get better each week and just feeling frustrated as I am just being left behind

Don't be so hard on yourself. Can't win them all. Gotta just stay in the fight sometimes.
