So I had been planning to stop commenting on how surprised I am every day by how fast I'm going and just start to (gladly) accept it, and just comment when something out of the ordinary happens, but then I went out today and while I could tell I was working, and it wasn't by any means an "easy" run perse, I still wasn't pushing or anything, and then I find that I ran the same route as yesterday considerably faster- sub 6:30s?? No idea what's going on here. I was trying the new 3:2 breathing pattern I read about (inhale for 3 strides, exhale for 2), which isn't easy and definitely makes me take longer, slower breaths, but maybe that was helping with the increased oxygen intake? I don't know.

I followed the run with a new circuit in the park, doing 3x[24 jumping split squats (lunges, jumping from one leg to the other), 12 cross-leg push ups (push ups with legs starting wide, then alternately crossing one leg over the other so you're slightly off balance), 20 surfers, 10 dips, and 35 side crunches (each side)]. Felt great, though not easy after that run.
