Notes

I did my long run for the week this evening, going a little shorter than last week at "only" 18 miles. I headed to HG via McKesson Hill/Lawrence Farms/Old Roaring Brook Rd, and then went through Mt Kisco to Sarles Rd and took it up to the top of Byram Lake Rd and then went back to HG and through town to come back home on 120. I checked splits at 4 mi, 8 mi, and about 10 mi and found that I was going a lot faster than I had expected- under 6:40s for the whole run while feeling very relaxed. I had assumed it would be about 6:50s at the fastest, and maybe slower, and yet it was actually a pretty quick pace. It was great to see that I could maintain that sort of pace for such a long run, especially the day after a solid workout. I felt really good for the whole thing- significantly better than I did last week. Overall a great long run that's showing what great shape I'm in already.
