Did my first proper workout since July this evening, and it went great. I did 3 miles at tempo, 1 mile recovery, then 2 x 800m at about 5k-pace. The tempo averaged about 5:56/mi, but that included some slower running up the hill on Washington Ave and then some faster portions on the flats of 117. Overall I was fairly pleased with how I ran over the full distance considering how long it's been since I last ran hard. The shorter pieces later on also went well, holding about 5:30 and then 5:24 pace on Douglas and Hardscrabble, respectively.
