Notes

While I hadn't really wanted to head out quite so late it was very warm all day today and then we didn't finish eating dinner until about 9:15 so I didn't head out until nearly midnight tonight. However, once I finally did get out the run went really well. I did my new Pleasantville/Thornwood loop again tonight but made it longer by starting out taking Hardscrabble and Kipp to town, doing an out-and-back extension before turning onto the road with Shop Rite, and then going up to the top of Kind St via 117 rather than heading straight into town and adding loops up there (ie on St John's St, Castle, etc) before looping around the train station and then heading home again on Douglas and Hardscrabble. I chose this route because it's one of the flattest runs I have around here, though of course running around town got hillier, and I felt great tonight. It wasn't too warm or humid by the time I went out and I was able to keep a slid pace for the longest run of the summer while still feeling strong and smooth for the whole thing. I even picked up the last half mile or so of the run and even that felt great. All in all a solid long run.
