Fighting the Headwinds...An especially windy day with bright sunshine and cool temps in the upper 50s...ran mostly on the Merkle farm trails out in the open so running into the wind was an issue...seldom had the wind at my back to push me along however...After two warm-up miles ran the final six at mid tempo and near race pace...ran comfortably with no heavy breathing or any aches...Wildlife: Saw a couple of deer scamper early in the run; Some farm hands were prepping seed tanks and fertilizer on the Merkle side; otherwise quiet...Passed the miles thinking of summer...Recovery: Budweiser Tall Boy...1285c...felt good...
