Boordy Vineyards 5K...
Large race field; tough course with strategically placed hills; Started at a mid-tempo pace and picked it up after first mile (8:36)...
Second mile settled into a groove on mostly flat road and downhill...
Third mile continued to improve pace slightly going uphill; back to the vineyard sped the downhill then fought hard to the finish...
Going into the race was not expecting to improve on recent 5K times and pleased with effort and results!
Nice spread for post race festivities plus wine and live music;
Pretty bucolic setting and evening start time was welcome!
Finish: 94th out of 767 and 10th in Age Group
