Back in the Game

A stint in sick bay, more crummy winter weather, and a busy schedule kept me idle for ten days…

After a couple sparse weeks of running, I was hoping for a bounce back last week and get some momentum going heading into a busy stretch of racing (three races in a three week time span) in late March and early April…

But recovering from a nasty bug took a while…along with other diversions in what has been a busy month…

Not going to make my mileage goal of 120 for March and will be hard to even reach 100 miles…

But I will use the need for making up miles as motivation for April…Maybe get a streak goal going…

Run at least a mile every day in April sounds good and maybe go for 140 miles for the month…

Anyway, today’s return to action was welcome…I eased back into things over the eight miles in the neighborhood…

Kept a decent relaxed training pace…feel somewhat confident ahead of tomorrow’s trail half marathon…goal time: 2hrs 20 min…

Conditions today were overcast and cool temp reading was 48 degrees…quiet in the neighborhood…good to be back out there…1313c…felt good…
