Notes

I went through some highs and lows during this run, but it seems that everything is alright.

The plan was to accompany Keiko on a 5-mile warmup before seeing her off for her group long run (she wouldn't let me do bike support for 20 miles before doing my run solo). Things started so horribly and my shin was feeling so bad and tight. I had a few flashes of goodness and I kept saying, "let's go!" but that didn't last long. Keiko was noticing my form completely breaking down and after having to take a walk break, I agreed to kill it at 3 miles. I'm so glad I decided to do a light jog home, because I was starting to feel pretty good, so I kept on going and eventually things started to really click and I finished the run! I guess I just needed an extended shakeout on Friday. Smart or overly cautious? It doesn't matter.
