Workout with Mizuno athlete and Mile2Marathon Coach Dylan Wykes.
We did some drills and strides before the workout. It was good to go out for this since I never do drills, and Dylan was right there to show me how to do each one since I was screwing them up so horribly!
4 x (1200 + 600) - jog down the street after the 1200, 2:00 standing rest after the 600
Discussed goal times of 4:20-4:30 and slightly faster than 2:10 with Coach Dylan and he agreed. I blasted through the first one on my own, then 1:22 guy Alan joined in starting with the 600. Glad he was there to push and pull me along and I was surprised that he was rocking it after his PB at the half on Sunday. The second 1200 was much more controlled, but then we really pushed each other on 3&4 again. Coach D gave us strict instructions not to totally burn the last 600, but I don't think we had much left anyway.
I think the best part was talking Mizuno with Dylan after!
