16:35.68 5000m @ the Hillsdale invitational. Super windy and like 32. Went out with Jacob, Streng, and Ding. Lost them around the mile (5:13.4) and yoyoed with some hillsdale guy for the next mile (5:27.7), finally passed him and worked up to a tech guy in the last mile. He moved with 400 to go, but I stayed on him and went with ~170, he made a move to get buy me in the last 50, but I found a gear that I didn't know I had and got him. Mile 3 in 5:20.8, last 200 in 33.5. Not a great race time wise, the wind was definitely a big factor, and I was alone in it for a decent portion of the race. Legs felt ok, just weren't used to going fast after the lack of workouts. Also probably let the pace slip a little too much in mile 2 when I realized it wasn't a PR day, had a little too much left in the tank the last quarter. Not a terrible day overall, worth something not too slow on a decent weather day.
