First 8ish miles of Newport-Maple-Country Club with Johnny. Started to progress around 2.5 miles in. Ran mid 6s for a few miles and cut it down to 5:40 by the last mile. Slightly net downhill, but a fairly hilly route so not artificially fast. Went pretty fast and felt in control the whole time. First time I've done a workout like this in a while, good to fill up the aerobic reserves one last time before nationals.
