Time Trial at the illustrious Al B. Carius Indoor Track on the campus of North Central College. Would have been disappointed with anything above 5 to be honest. Splits are just what I can remember Baganz saying, as I messed up my watch. Got out pretty fast, and went through the 200 in 33. Hit the 400 in 71. Held on to Bob for the rest hitting 800 in ~2:27 (a 4 second PR). Tried to move on lap 6 or 7 and got elbowed by Blazek which might have cost me a second or so. Hit the 1400 in 4:22 and though I got this. Barely had any kick, just held on and finished right behind Bob. Baganz said 59 almost right when I crossed. Pretty psyched to crack the 5 minute mark and PR by 15 seconds especially after how crappy the last few days have been for me. Slightly surprised I had this in me with so little mile work, the only fast stuff we've done recently did not indicate sub-5 by any means. This race also felt way different that any mile I've raced before. Last year it was get out fast, slow up, close fast. This was get out fast, sustain that speed, close fast. No ankle/lower leg pain either which was nice. Also debuted the victories, they felt really nice. I think I'm in ~10:20-25 shape right now based on my aerobic strength and this race.
