Sleep: 6.5 hours. Had a job interview after school so I did this solo. Started at Burlington park then did a modified McDowell to avoid flooding. Felt shitty. Threw in a tempo pickup to try and loosen up, but it didn't help. Head pounding and legs dead. I think I kinda tricked myself into believing I would feel better with a few easy days, but taking it easy for three days is not enough to make up for running myself into the ground for the last month. I Have only felt good on a handful of runs since the beginning of outdoors, and it's only gotten worse the last couple of weeks. Continuing to run past this point is just risking possible long-term consequences, and it isn't worth it, especially with all of my official meets done. I'm totally mentally and physically burnt out right now, feeling bad every day is mentally exhausting. I wish I could do the state TT, but the only smart option right now is to take some time off before revamping for club xc. I guess this was the last run of my high school career as well, oh well, onward and upward.
