17:34.5 3 mile race. Got in no strides before this because of tying shoes and peeing, so that's something I need to be more conscious of going forward. On to the race. The field got out pretty slow and I got stuck in a huge mob until about 400 in. Found Jeevan and ran with him through the mile (5:46), and caught 'lil Laboe, and Joey. Lost them on the downhill to the water because I didn't use the downhill enough, and was basically without teammates from there. Tried to work back up to Luke and Jeevan in the 2nd mile (5:58), but never made it. Used the downhills way better in the 2nd mile than the first though, and at least cut down their lead on me. Pretty jag kick because I knew I wouldn't catch Jeevan or Luke, definitely need to fix that. 3rd mile in 5:49. ~4 second PR, but I am in no way happy with how I raced today, I need to stick with teammates going forward, and utilize downhills to my advantage. Shin was also killing me after the race, but didn't bother me during it. Great job to the rest of the team today.
