Notes

Intentionally ran a slightly shorter route this morning for two reasons:

(1) Time. I needed to get to work early enough to have a little time before worship practice for dinner tonight.

(2) Giving my legs some needed recovery. After yesterday's unpleasant experience, I don't want to push too hard.

It was well worth taking yesterday off, as my legs felt much better today, although still a bit of extra stress on knees and shins. Hopefully that'll work itself out. If it's still there at the same level and/or getting worse by the end of next week, I'm going to go buy new shoes. If it straightens itself out, I'll just attribute it to overtaxing my body with the 5k, 12 miler, and 4 miler 3 days in a row without any rest.
