I seemed to have strained my upper left glute. It was a little tight as I warmed up for the fartlek several days ago but then loosened up for the fartlek itself. The next day I took off b/c E was sick, though I didn't mind because I again noticed some tightness there. The following day, Saturday, it was super tight. Even walking was difficult. I started taking IB and icing, did some self-massage. Yesterday it felt much better, and today it seemed fine just walking around. But immediately when I started running it let me know that it wasn't ok yet. It felt tight as my left leg reached full extension in front of me each step. I almost stopped after about 100 meters but decided to see whether it loosened up with some more slow jogging. It did, so I considered going further, but then I stopped briefly just to see whether it immediately tightened up again. It did, so I stopped there.
