4x200 R (200) in the high 5:20's (mile pace)
2x400 R (400) at 5:31/mi. and 5:26/mi. paces
2x1 mile T (2 min.) in 6:16 and 6:14.5
So I did some 200's and 400's in the high 5:20's (mile pace) and then two 1 mile tempo intervals in 6:15 with two minutes rest in between. VDOT 56 paces. It was pretty warm and muggy out, and I felt sore and stiff. Trying to run faster than my 5k goal pace was a good idea but surprisingly hard even for very short spurts. After a few I finally started thinking about form, but it never felt very good. Then tempo pace felt slow but still unpleasant. Had planned on doing some faster intervals after that but didn't have it in me. I may have done too much as it is.
