Notes
Felt surprisingly strong, perhaps in part because I kept hydrated really well, drinking water every mile and eating gel around miles 5, 9, and 13. Hot sun today during the first and last 3.5 miles. When I initially got out into the sun again around mile 11.5, it made me feel a bit off - not so much hot or tired as a bit crazy, as if I weren't altogether able to assess my situation reliably. So I walked for 30 seconds in the shade, decided I was fine, started off again slower, but quickly decided I was fine. I actually had a lot of juice left in me in every way towards and at the end. My last mile was the fastest, and I wasn't really pushing at all. One new thing: my right trapezius was sore towards the end, and I think it may be because I had my visor in that hand while I was in the shade for much of the run. I should alternate hands.
