73/60. Racepacket Summer Strides 5k. Goal was to run the first, slightly uphill half in the 5:50s, then pick it up in the second, downhill half. But the first mile took too much out of me. My calf was bugging me, but I don't think that was the main problem. I just didn't have it today. I haven't felt the burn of a short race in a long time, and I was surprised how hot I felt even though the weather was much better than usual in late summer. Afterwards I skipped a cool down because of my calf but rode my bike (first time) for 30 min. very easy when I got home.
