3 mile, 2 mile, 1 mile at 6:25-25/mi. with 3 min. and 2 min. rest. Actual average pace was 6:22/mi. Each mile was roughly the same pace except for last mile of the 3 mile segment. I was running into the wind for that whole 3 mile segment and started feeling quite tired after running 6:20 pace into a headwind for 2 miles. I had real trouble finishing that third mile and getting myself to continue after the 3 min. rest. But I did. The rest of the workout was not as hard without the headwind - in fact, with a tailwind. The reverse would have been preferable.
