9 x 1k averaging 4:04 (6:32/mi. pace) over moderate hills in UP. The original workout scheduled for today was 12 x 1k starting at 4:15-20 and working down to 4:00-05. But it snowed 4-5 inches last night, and Ryan recommended an alternate workout of 12 x 3 min. hard with 2 min. jogs if I can find a safe place for it. When I was warming up, I found a nice stretch of road in UP that's perfectly clear but moderately hilly. So I compromised and did the original type of workout (but over hills) at the volume of the alternate one: 12 x 3 min. = 36 min. = 9 x 4 min. Didn't feel particularly hard.
