Notes

Let's rap about 2018.

Goals (from the Swamp):

1. Run two marathons this year, since I want to get back in an amount of shape.

2. Run my customary three or four half-marathons.

3. Hit 2000 miles.

4. Lose 5 or 10 pounds.

Year Records:

5k: 18:28, Haunted Hustle 10/20

10k: 42:45, Twilight, 5/26

Half: 1:28:37, Haunted Hustle, 10/21 (!!!)

Full: 3:08:02, Madison, 11/11 (PR)

So goals 1 and 2 were a slam dunk. Only got to 1600 miles this year, but did lose a little more weight. I didn't write down where I was starting from, so I'm not sure that it was five to ten pounds in total, but I did lose some weight. I have a note from January that I was at 185, but I don't know how much I trust that one.

Overall, this was a good year. I'd like to call out the Haunted Hustle as a huge thing - that half was great for me and was a real confidence builder. I believe that I didn't take more than 5 days without a run, which is better.

So what's next? Qualify for Boston 2020.
