"Second" run of the day. Ended up 5th overall and had a pretty good slash. This race was much quicker than I was originally expecting.
Started off in 6th place off the gun, but relaxed off the first four guys relatively quickly. The course started along the lake front, then had a hard right up a sizable hill. I didn't run great up the hill, but I kept contact with 5th place all the way up that hill. Then had a sharp left (about 200 degrees) down through a park, which got to the one mile mark. Ended up making the move on 5th at about 1.25 miles a bit before the full hairpin turn up a hill. Then the course doubled back the entire way. Last really big hill was done by 2.4-ish, but the last downhill was a good glide. I was checking over my shoulder, but 6th ended up about 20 seconds back and I cruised the finishing section.
