Ended up running 1 mile warmup, then 7 @ 6:50 average, then cooldown back home. That felt pretty good - only notes are that my feet need a little bit more pound-resistance and I need to continue working on the mental side of running hard. I noticed that I was slipping a little bit at mile 3 of the tempo. Also, this really isn't a hard tempo loop; it's remarkably flat and minimizes road crossings. I think Washington Pez Dispenser, but adding the Chicory Park twist would be an excellent challenging tempo loop. That would be the same number of road crossings but also notably hillier, which is a good way to build a bit of strength that I'm definitely lacking.

This is long-winded because I have some excess time.
