Long 20-22 miles. Moderate vertical today- get ~3k-4k total climbing if possible!
Eat and hydrate very well.
Start hydrated- drink ~20-25oz in the hour before starting. Start very relaxed and easy and gradually build to a comfortable and relaxed stride. No real effort early on. Get used to holding back a little. Start calorie intake immediately.
Just hold your effort steady for all of this and expect the distance to be difficult. HR monitor is optional but it would be 140-150 for the first 2:00
