Notes

Best long race I have had yet. Never got tired though I forced myself to take it easy on the uphills on the last 20. Ate like it was my job at every aid station (potatos, pretzels, pbj) plus supplemented it all with gels and waffles. Drank the right amount of water and gatorade at aid stations and took in extra salt at 19, 31 and 41. Legs did get tired but it was very minor and I was still running strong in the last 10. Very muddy day and it rained very hard all day so I think I could have done much better in time had I not been so cautious about slipping on all of the single track downhills. Only thing that is really sore today is my left shoulder. Minor muscle soreness in all of the usual spots.
