COMMENTS: 85% humidity. The conditions were ripe for a rough run...hot...ridiculously humid...not much sleep...bad hip. All those became factors in this dreadful run which I somehow was able to complete. I did try something different though and I'm not sure whether I liked it. I would stop running whenever I would take a drink and would walk for about 20-30 seconds to simulate walking through the drink stations at the marathon. Pyschologically I looked forward to that little walk break, but it seemed harder and harder to get back to running each time I did that. The last 3 miles were pure torture.
