It felt very cold out and my muscles didn't fully warm up before the race, especially since the race was 5-10 minutes late (not bad, but I cooled down a bit). I lined up at the back of the 7 mm group and started out too quickly since I think I heard someone say we at the first mile around 7:4x. I think I could get below 25:00 with more racing/pacing experience. The hills also slowed me down, which is why I started to incorporate a hillier route into my routine.
