Pretty good run. Freezing cold. DH and I ran the first 5.3 miles, then alternated between running and walking the rest of the race. We probably ran about 9 miles, but I'll need to double check. I feel like I could have finished 5-10 minutes faster on my own, but really enjoyed running with DH - it would not have been worth it to have to run it alone.

At first, I felt like the treadmill had been a waste, but now I'm more optimistic. DH spent the winter focusing on lifting and I focused on the treadmill. My lungs felt great the entire run, but my legs held me back. DH's legs felt great, but his lungs held him back. If I hadn't been running on the treadmill, I would have lost both my cardio and my strength.

My plan moving forward is to take a week or so off of running. I had some significant pain in my right hip and IT band, so I want to make sure they are feeling good. I will focus on stretching and strengthening in the meantime. Then, my plan is to go for 3 miles, 5 times a week until I'm down to 10 min/mile or faster. Then, slowly incorporate more distance. I hope to be comfortable with 26 miles/week and peak around 30 miles a week for my fall half.
