Crappy end to a great year. Crazy wind from the west along Lakeshore, wanted to do something hard, tempo, tempo intervals, anything but Cherry Beach and Lakeshore south was pure jagged ice, quite slippery in parts and the snow drifts didn't help at all. Put it in about 3 solid kms on salted ground, the first with wind behind me along Unwin, the second and third along Lakeshore. That headwind just destroyed me though so had to shut it down. Run home was painful, only savior was the sun. Still not sure how I feel about not wearing arch support insoles as I felt both arches hurt at times.
