Indoor track, 1600 meters before work. Wasn't expecting much today after yesterdays miserable easy run and limping around with left knee pain all day yesterday, so very surprised at the quick time this morning. Was expecting about 10 seconds slower. As always, I stayed as relaxed as possible with speed in the legs but tried to keep the breathing level below the point that burns my lungs. Relaxing my upper body/chest/throat/lungs is critical to being able to breath easier while running at this effort.
