Notes

Nice day, sunny, 65 degrees, ran shirtless. Started out in shoes and socks, first warm-up mile, then sockless for 2nd mile (5:38). Didn't start off planning to run it fast, but decided to go for it at the half. Splits: 1:29, 2:56, 4:24, 5:38.

Running has been increasingly painful for the past few weeks, especially this past week since the weather was really dreary -dark grey, windy and cold, rain on and off, plus Rachel is gone to Germany for 3 weeks, so I spent too much time sitting indoors and really aggravated my posterior - glutes, hamstrings, sit-down bones, and my feet are very un-happy with all of my shoes and socks. I really think my socks are all too tight, and I'm going to cut down on wearing them plus try doing some barefoot running on the outdoor track. Today's barefoot mile was 7:54, and that is the 2nd barefoot mile I've ever run. Yesterday was the first.
