Same as one week ago, 7.1 up to 4.5 and then 10 x 100m every quarter but this time I went from 8.6 to 9 mph. Felt kind of bleh mostly because I'm a moron. I really am the man who cannot learn. I couldn't run right before lunch as I usually do because of meetings, so I ate during my meeting (conference call) and then ran later. If I was not an idiot, I would have eaten just a bit to hold me over and drank some water. Instead I ate my entire lunch AND I had a coffee AND I didn't drink any water. As I was walking down to the gym, only then did this occur to me. What the heck? Considering this idiocy, the run went ok. Once I got into the strides, I was cruising along imaging I could keep up this pace for a marathon, HA!

Haha, that is a funny story about your work day. Stinking work messing up with our fun lives! Don't sweat it too hard though, it's not always clear how to approach these scenarios when you are 'in the moment'. Preparation is key. (unless it was an unexpected conf. call) Besides, how many other people on that conference call went and ran 7+ miles afterwards? You rule!
