Notes

I decided to do 5 today and then I'll do 3 or 4 tomorrow because I had more time today. I'm feeling a bit sore but from volleyball rather than running so it's not in my calves but in my quads and arms. But, it's nothing serious and it's already less now when I am writing this in the evening. I went a bit faster than I realized. I probably should have slowed down a little. Tomorrow I'm going to go nice and slow with a couple easy strides and then Saturday will be purely slow.

I think I was a bit dehydrated going into this run which would explain the slightly higher HR and the lower weight. I've been really good with my diet now for 4 days which should add up to a loss of half a pound, not 2 pounds. I need to do better with keeping hydrated. For the next two days, I'm going to eat normally rather than do a 500 calorie deficit like I've been doing.

I had my first celebrity sighting of the year! Although it was a repeat from 2011. It was Oliver Platt again on his bike but with no helmet this time. He rode by very close to me so I got a good look. I gave him a head nod and we made eye contact but no acknowledgement from him, although since he was on a bike it all happened pretty quickly. I'll have to update the blog with this and check out the HR bump if there was one.

Cool sighting! Congrats on sticking to your diet too. I find it's very difficult to stick to a diet when I'm running high mileage. Good luck!
