Hey Tina Tallon. It's nice to see you again. WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN FOR THE PAST FREAKING YEAR!!!??? Maybe you should stick around until the end of Outdoor Track. Just don't leave after today.

Today was SPECTACULAR. So spectacular that I don't even really believe it yet. It's just too good to be even be true. I felt like it was XC...IN 2005! By far the best workout I've had in like a loooooong time.

Maybe miracles do happen? I don't know. But these were my splits: 8:55, 8:20, 7:47, 8:03, 7:32, and then 10:46 for the last 1.25 miles, which is an 8:37 pace. This whole run was just completely crazy. If you add my fastest three splits, that's a 23:22 for three miles, and if I wanted to turn that into a 5K, that'd be about 24:00, which I haven't run since like Meade. But for 6.25 miles, to hold an 8:14 pace, this is just HUGE. I don't understand. But I'm pleasantly surprised. It's magical.

I have two theories. One: when I cleaned my room this weekend, I found my lucky socks from last year. So today I wore the socks that I set four school records in. I knew they were magical. Two: my shirt had the square root of negative one on it, and thus this whole thing was imagined and I'm dreaming and haven't actually woken up on Wednesday yet. Well, I have a third theory too, and it's probably correct, and I think it has to do with iron, but I haven't really quite worked out how, seeing as it's the complete opposite of what I expected. So I'll go with the magical socks. I like that theory the best.

Oh, there are certainly magical socks to be worn on March 11th.

BEST DAY OF MY RECENT LIFE!!!!! SCORE!!!!
