Hmmm. So a pretty good run today. I thought that I had only run 9 miles, so I ran an extra two stadiums, but no, I had already run 10 miles (well, 9.92) so I ended up running about 11.

But that's okay. At an 8:05 pace, that's pretty kickin'. I'm happy with that. But I think part of it was that I was running with music, and when I run with music I can't hear myself breathing, so I just fall into a really natural breathing pattern instead of trying to consiously suppress it, and since I can't hear how hard I'm breathing I don't have the psychological factor of "Oh I'm breathing really hard, guess I should slow down." So that way, I run harder than I think I'm running, because I just kind of ignore my cardiovascular system, and get into my own natural groove. Hey, it's a theory, anyway. And it works for me. But yeah.

I was surprised that Laura and Liz didn't keep up. I mean, I was booking sub-8s for about 6 miles, but it's really not that fast. I mean, when you can run a 5:47 mile and all. I wish I could run a 5:47 mile. I don't even know if I could go under 6 at this point. Oh well, we'll find out on the 30th. Which is not going to be good, because I'm not going to have a uniform, since everyone about my size is going to be running at the same time as me. Hmmmm.

So my left foot is so blistered and scabbed over and infected that it looks like someone with leprosy and the skin is just like sluffing off. It was really painful today whenever I was on grass or running up a hill, because my band-aids slid off and like were scraping over my blisters and when I took off my shoe my sock and the inside of both were all bloody, which is kind of gross, because my shoes were all pretty and white. I need to get some more gauze and sweat-proof tape. Oh well. I think I need to see a doctor about it too, because it's been like two and a half weeks for the one, and it still isn't healing, so that's probably not a good thing at all. It's all ewwwy.

I want it to snow. I love running in the snow. It's so magical. But yeah. I'm pretty pleased with my run today. And as much as I like two-miling, give me distance or give me death. I'm glad to be back to my marathon. It's how I do, foo'.
