Notes

7mi + 5x0:30 strides (2:00 recovery).

Before running today I felt sloth take hold of my spirit. I felt like I could just walk away from this whole running non-sense forever. It was as if I hadn't run in a long time and didn't feel any desire to run. Then I laced up, got out there, and just couldn't go slower than 8:20 pace for the pure joy of running. It felt like so long since I'd be out.

8:20 was easy, though I had nobody to talk to for measuring my breathing. However, I didn't labor in the least. My feet, however, felt sloppy and slightly numb (or dumb) for most of the run. Form was a bit ragged for some reason until the Strides, in which I felt like a gazelle.

Blister on left big toe only expands its area. I'll need to lance it. After 5 days it hasn't gotten better. Too late for the toe-socks to help.

Race shoes: slight hot point in the left heel -- as if my heel had found the seem between sole and upper and decided to run on that. Hopefully, that's just break-in discomfort.
